Circumstances	Steven was last seen on April 14, 2008 he had told family members that he was going to Albuquerque. On Friday April 15, 2008, his truck was found abandoned on N.M. 117 near Mile Marker 35. The truck had two flat tires. His baseball cap, a bag of food and his walking stick were left in the truck. His backpack, identification and GPS were missing. It is possible that he hiked into the lava fields of the El Malpais National Monument as his truck was found about 300 yards south of a trailhead and parking area. No sign of Steven was found around or near the truck no one has seen or heard from him since.
