Missing in California is a website dedicated to helping families keep hope alive by keeping their faces and stories in the public view.
The website is very well put together, easy to navigate and full of helpful resources.
It profiles cases from all time that are in California and ones that also may be in California (a very important aspect).
We have worked with them many times on searches for April Beth Pitzer and Catherine Lique.
The founder has been involved in missing person's for a very long time. Dedicating countless hours to on site foot searches and scouring the internet databases for clues. She has even solved a missing/unidentified case that went back approximately 20 years. She makes beautiful detailed flyers and is a fantastic shoulder to cry on.

MANHATTAN — A small group of
Manhattan volunteers have established an organization to increase
awareness for missing individuals and promote safety and preventative
education.
Now, they are seeking donations to pay for a place to set up their 24-hour resource center/headquarters and cover operating costs.
“We need $3.87 million by the end of the year for the building and operations,” volunteer Stephanie Coplen said. “We’re looking for a location now.”
Media for the Missing, the nonprofit organization, will take information about missing and unidentified people supplied by law enforcement, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, The Charley Project, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and other related agencies and make it available to the general public through its website, brochures and nationwide touch-screen kiosk system set up in high-traffic locations, such as welcome centers, truck stops or medical facilities.
The U.S. Department of Justice indicates 2,300 people are reported missing every day. Coplen said 89 people are missing or unidentified in Kansas.
“It’s recognition through repetition,” she said, adding the more often people see a photo of a missing person, the more likely the individual will be recognized and authorities alerted. “We want people to be safe, not statistics.”
Coplen said the organization will provide “equal and adequate exposure of all people,” including the homeless, the elderly and minority groups.
Information provided on its website, www.mediaforthemissing.org, includes missing alerts, information about missing people, self-defense videos of how to escape attackers, safety tips, state laws and legislation regarding missing people and information about related organizations.
Media for the Missing doesn’t take calls about or investigate missing people reports, she said.
Long-term plans include expanding outside of Kansas, a missing person marathon and a billboard system with missing person information.
Donations for Media for the Missing can be made by going to its website and clicking on the “Donate” button.

Are you a member of Peace4Missing?
http://peace4missing.ning.com/
There are so many reasons to be a member of Peace4Missing. If you are a family member of a current or former missing person, it is a place where you can go to be surrounded by people who have gone through and are going through the same thing you are.
I am sure in your daily life you have to wear a whole different hat and carry on as if you are not missing a piece of your heart. On the Peace4 forum, you are overly supported, given advice and can feel free to share your feelings without worry of reprimand or people telling you to lighten up. The people who are members of Peace4 are thoughtful, caring and genuinely want to help. Even if only it is to agree with you about some injustice or praise you for your hard work.
The support you can't find at home, you can find it there.
If you are someone who can offer a kind ear and sound advice, this place needs you. You give so much, without giving a thing.

Wikipedia for Amy
Amy Lynn Bradley (born May 12, 1974) is an American citizen who went missing during a Caribbean cruise. She has yet to be found. Amy, her parents, and her brother were vacationing on the Royal Caribbean International cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas.
At 5:30am on March 24, 1998, Amy's brother, Bradley, left his sister
sitting on the outdoor balcony and entered his cabin. Amy was seen a
short time later by other passengers riding in the ship's elevator with a
member of the ship's band, Blue Orchid, known by the alias "Yellow."
The ship was en route to CuraƧao, Antilles
at the time Amy was last seen. The ship docked in CuraƧao shortly after
Amy was discovered missing. Extensive searches on the ship and at sea
produced no signs of Amy's whereabouts.
Police investigated and discarded many theories regarding Amy's disappearance. It is unlikely that she fell overboard and drowned given that she was a trained lifeguard and the ship was close to shore at the time of her disappearance. It is also considered unlikely that Amy voluntarily disappeared to start a new life. She had recently graduated from college and was anticipating starting a new job when she returned to her home in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
There were possible sightings of Amy in CuraƧao in 1998 and 1999. Two Canadian tourists reported seeing a woman resembling Amy on a beach in CuraƧao in 1998. The woman's tattoos were reportedly identical to Amy's. Bradley has a Tasmanian Devil spinning a basketball tattoo on her shoulder; the sun on her lower back, a Chinese symbol, on her right ankle and a Gecko lizard, on her navel. She also has a navel ring.[1]
In 1999 an American sailor reported that he went to a brothel on CuraƧao and was approached by a young woman. She told him her name was Amy Bradley and asked for his help. At this point, two men in the bar escorted her upstairs. Unfortunately, by the time the witness reported this to police several months later, the brothel had burned down.
She was also potentially spotted in 2005, when a witness claimed she was seen in a department store restroom in Barbados.[2]
An image of a young woman resembling Amy that was emailed to her parents was shown on the Dr. Phil show, and it suggests that she may have been sold into sexual slavery.
There is a $250,000 reward for information leading to Amy's return.
In January 2011, CNN Justice raised speculation that a jawbone found in Aruba might belong to Bradley.[2]

Among the Ghost of Yesteryear.. A Poem by April's Mom Gloria.
Among the Ghost Yesteryear
by Gloria Denton on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2:04pm ·
By Gloria Denton
No candle, no cake, no happy Birthday song.
April Beth, you’ve been missing way too long.
Again today, I will stare at your pictures on the wall.
I beam with pride for you and stand six feet tall.
Lord, how much longer will this go on,
It’s been almost eight years, and I recall the first day she was gone.
Why does she have to be missing year after year?
Oh Lord, give her back and dry away my tears.
It was just a few short weeks ago,
I saw the picture for the very first time, an image forever painted in my mind.
Taken deep beneath the sands in the desert town of Ludlow.
Standing was a dusty handmade wooden cross, all I could do was stare at it and cry.
Around the base was a perfect circle of rocks. As I looked at this all I’m thinking is Why? Why?
At the bottom of a cold dark mine, buried with the ghost from yesteryear.
Stands this cross and several clues they left behind. Were you already gone or taking down by overwhelming fear.
So once more we will take out the shovels and picks,
Bucket by bucket, we’ll sift through the sand, as I sit at home watching the clock as it ticks.
I ask you Lord, to come sit and hold my hand, while I sit at home waiting on the phone to ring,
I’ll reflect on memories, especially this special day.
I turn to you Lord for comfort, by faith I do cling.
Without you, I could not walk down this saddened pathway.
Every time I left there, I knew I was leaving you,
the emotions overcame me every time I left. Satan’s mocking words,” in death you failed April too”.
Oh Lord ease the pain within, remove Satan’s net. If nothing else, I know one thing that is sure, today was the happiest day holing you in my own childlike arms.
My love for you was beyond measure and perfectly pure, your little face was the porcelain made charm.
Today I love you even so much more, I thank god for the time we shared together.
My love for you is unconditional that’s for sure. And I will cling to Gods promises this won’t last, but one day we will have forever!

Keys to Healing: Mind, Body, and Spirittm
We who live with the unique reality of having a missing loved one
know the difficulties we face in this situation. We know the emotions
and the frustrations. None of us living with what is called "an
ambiguous loss" knows how long this journey will last, so it’s
important that we do all that we do what we can to keep ourselves
mentally, physically, and spiritually strong for the day we have our

the US.
Our Keys to Healing Retreat, held each year beginning on Friday and ending Sunday afternoon, embraces you with sessions that address the mind, body, and spirit. Our principal trainer is Duane Bowers, LPC, the nation’s foremost traumatic loss therapist and educator. Bowers is the author of “Guiding Your Family Through Loss and Grief” and “A Child is Missing: Providing Support for Families of Missing Children.”
The Project Jason Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the 4th annual Keys to Healing Retreat
will take place August 10-12, 2012. The retreat is open to family
members of missing persons whose cases are listed with law enforcement

cover all aspects of living in the "not knowing," with a focus on
mental, spiritual, and physical healing.

Michael Wilkerson - 2011 - Ashboro, NC
Michael Wilkerson
Luthenna Joyce Morin just wants to know whether her son is dead or alive. She knows there is little chance that he is alive, but her mother’s heart won’t let her give up that fragile thread of hope.
Michael Dwayne Wilkerson was last seen on Sept. 15, 2011 in the area of Burney Road and New Hope Church Road.
A wrecked truck had his cell phone in it but there was no one in or around the truck.
Morin learned about the wreck and the phone when she filed a missing person report on Sept. 24.
Morin has been through the motions of living ever since. Thanksgiving and Christmas were just days that went by. The hardest day was Michael’s 35th birthday on Dec. 1.
“I know if he could, Michael would call me. Maybe he had a head injury in that wreck. Maybe he wasn’t even in that truck,” Morin said. “I worry about so many things that could have happened. People do get amnesia. I know if he could, he would find a way to get in touch with me.”
Det. Ed Blair said, and Morin agreed, that the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office had done all they could do without a new lead.
“We would like to know what happened, too,” Blair said. “We encourage Mrs. Morin to keep talking about Michael, to stay on the Internet, put up posters, whatever she can think to do that might get someone to come forward with information.”
The pickup truck that hit a pole on Burney Road was totaled and had been reported stolen from a residence on U.S. 220 Business near Crestview Church Road. No one was in or around the truck and no trail from it when a highway patrol trooper responded about 5:15 a.m. The last call made on Michael’s phone had been made about 2:30 a.m., Morin said. A passerby had called in the wreck.
The truck was turned over to the owner, who sold it for salvage.
The sheriff’s office sent two search teams with dogs and scoured the area. Search planes flew over looking for images of remains.
Divers searched nearby Black Lake. They found no clues to Wilkerson’s whereabouts.
Det. Derrick Hill said the case is still open.
“We are still following every lead that comes in, but so far nothing has panned out,” Hill said. “We would like to know what happened out on Burney Road and we will follow up every lead we get. Anybody who knows anything can make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers.”
Morin said in addition to the Crime Stoppers reward, there is the possibility of an additional reward.
The last time Morin spoke to her son was about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2011. He had had hand surgery and she was to pick him up the next morning to take him for a check-up. Their last words to each other were, “I love you,” which was the way they ended all conversations. When he didn’t call the next morning and didn’t answer her calls, she began looking for him at every place she thought he might be.
Michael was her only child, born healthy against all odds because of her own health issues, especially her heart.
“As hard a time as I had getting him here and keeping him, to lose him like this is more than I can bear,” she said.
Morin is very honest about Michael being a difficult teenager and his drug addiction as an adult. The hand surgery was for infections from drug use.
Morin and Michael’s father did all they could do, looked for every way they could help him. He was hospitalized several times, but left on his own.
Morin said the last time she went with him to his mental health counselor, he begged for help to get off drugs. When he was told there was a two-week wait for a bed, Morin said, Michael told her that would be too late.
“He was badly addicted, but he was not a drug dealer. It would mean so much if I could just know what has happened to him,” Morin said. “I am afraid too much time has gone by, but I hope someone will know something or remember something. This is just tearing my heart out.”
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office would like to hear from anyone who has any information that might be helpful. Call (336) 318-6699 or make an anonymous call to Randolph County Crime Stoppers at (336) 672-7463.
